Memberships

As the Burlington Recreation Center was built and is funded annually by the taxpayers of USD #244 all legal residents of the district along with their immediate family members are eligible for a free in-district membership. Non-residents who own property in the district and pay a portion of their taxes to the district are also eligible for this membership. If you do not qualify for the in-district membership the Recreation Commission has developed a variety of other membership options for you.

What to know before enrolling?

All New members are required to enroll in person at the Recreation Center during normal business hours. The process goes fairly quickly and should only take 5-10 minutes.
Residents must bring a valid Kansas Driver's License as proof of residence.
Non-Residents who own property in the district must bring their most recent tax statement verifying that you pay taxes to the district.
New enrollees under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian’s signature to enroll.
Non-members wishing to use the facility but do not wish to obtain a membership may do so by paying a $3 daily use fee.
Immediate family is considered spouse, and their children, ages 7-23.
College students of in-district parents are considered residents of USD 244.

Membership Options

Student

Any non-resident students who attend school in USD 244 are eligible for this membership. This is a renewable membership if students remain enrolled in USD 244.

Student Membership

$25 per year for each student.

Non-Resident

Non-resident is defined as an individual or family who are not legal residents of USD 244 school district or are listed on the USD 244 tax rolls.

Non-Resident Membership

$75 per year for 1st family member
$25 for each additional immediate family member.

Military

Any Non-resident who is currently or has been a member of the United States Military qualifies for this membership.

Military Membership

$50 per year for 1st family member
$25 for each additional immediate family member.

55 +

Any Non-resident who is 55 years of age or older is eligible for this membership.

55+ Membership

$50 per year for 1st family member
$25 for each additional immediate family member.

Business

Individuals are eligible for a business membership if they are a non-resident but are an employee of a business in the district.

Business Membership

$50 per year for the employee
$25 for each additional immediate family member.
In order to qualify for this membership the employee must bring in a recent pay stub to verify employment.

Guests

Non-members wishing to use the facility but do not wish to obtain a membership may do so by paying a $3 daily use fee.

General Guest Guidelines

Guests must be at least 7 years old or accompanied by a responsible adult.
